General Information

Voyager point is a suburb of western Sydney at a distance of just about 25 kilometres from the CBD. The suburb was named to honour the loss of HMAS Voyager after collision with an aircraft carrier. The area was previously accommodated the families of those in the Royal Australian Navy.


With an approximate population density of slightly above 1000 people, Voyager Point is considered to be one of the smallest suburbs of Sydney, of which the average age is 33 which is 5 years below NSW’s median. The suburb is mainly comprised of locals, with the rest of the residents coming from the various parts of Europe and from India. Administrative positions make the bulk of jobs held by residents which is followed by people in the professional services.


The nearest railway station is at Holsworthy, located a short distance away.
Bus services are also available to Liverpool, Holsworthy and Sandy Point.
The most convenient form of transport is by car, and is the primary mode of transport for most households.

Commercial area

Wattle Grove Plaza is the closest shopping centre from Voyager Point, on the corner of Australis Avenue and Village Way. There is a Coles supermarket, newsagency, various eateries and other types of specialty stores.


Residential housing in Voyager Point is comprised entirely of separate houses.
