General Information

Regents Park is a western Sydney suburb, located approximately 22 kilometres west of the CBD.
The name for the suburb originated from Regent’s Park in the United Kingdom. The railway station was completed in the early 20th century, and greatly assisted development in the suburb.

Demographics

Regents Park has a population of about 4,511 people. The median age of 34 years is slightly lower than the median age of NSW.
Most of the residents are of Chinese, Australian, English, Lebanese and Vietnamese background.
The most common professions includes clerical staff, professionals, technicians and labourers.

Transport

Regents Park station is on the Bankstown Line of the Sydney Trains rail network.
There are also regular bus services available to Liverpool, Parramatta and Bankstown.
Hume Highway, a major thoroughfare, is located south of Regents Park, while Joseph Street is to the east.

Commercial area

Regents Park has a mix of commercial and residential areas. Amy Street is the main commercial area in Regents Park. The variety of stores is a reflection of the diverse culture of the suburb. It provides many of the daily needs of the local community.

Regents Park comprises of about 60% separate houses, 15% townhouses, with the remainder made up of units and apartments.
