Newton History

Newtown is located approximately 4 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district. Before the European settlement, Newtown was inhabited by aboriginal people. It was developed into a residential and farming area in the early 19th century. Newton still has a fair share of restored 19th century architectured homes.
