Sitting just 18km south-western off the city of Sydney is the suburb of Mount Lewis.
The suburb was named after Mount Lewis Reserve, which is the highest point in the suburb.
Mount Lewis is one of Sydney’s smallest suburbs with only a recorded population of about 1,104 people. The median age of 35 years is slightly lower than the median age of NSW and the Australian national average.
The most common background of local residents are Lebanese, Australian, English, Greek and Vietnamese.
The labour force mainly comprise of professionals, technicians, clerical staff, managers and labourers.
Mount Lewis is conveniently located close to both the Bankstown and Punchbowl train stations. There are also regular bus services to Greenacre, Bankstown and Hurstville.

Mount Lewis is predominantly a residential suburb. A small group of shops is located on the corner of Wattle Street and Frank Street, with a chemist, convenience store, butchery and a number of various cafes and restaurants.
