General information of Glenhaven
At an estimated distance of around 31 kilometres northwest of the Sydney CBD lies the suburb of Glenhaven which is part of the Hills District. The suburb known today as Glenhaven was originally known as Sandhurst which is still regarded till this very day as the suburb’s most noticeable street.
With a population of just over 6,000 people Glenhaven is considered a medium sized suburb of Sydney and has a relative equal proportion of males to females. Apart from the bulk of residents who are Australian born, the rest are migrants from countries such as South Africa and from parts of Europe. The vast majority of its residents work full time with most in the professional services and followed closely behind by people in managerial positions.
Glenhaven does not have its own dedicated train station. The nearest is south east at Pennant Hills station and can be relatively easily accessed by travelling along New Line Road and Boundary Road. Motorists can travel along New Line Road leading into Boundary Road and eventually joining with Cumberland Highway. Apart from the numerous bus station sprawled across the suburb, the main roads for bus stations are located along Glenhaven Road and Old Northern Road. These buses operate services within the suburbs as well as the outer surrounding areas.
Around the suburb are a number of small shops, however the main commercial centre for the suburb is located along Glenhaven Road and Old Northern Road featuring more shops and dining options.
Glenhaven is considered to be one of Sydney’s premier suburbs due to its premier location and accessibility to transportation systems. Houses in the area are generally newer and prices can reach up to more than 2 million dollars.
