General information of Elanora Heights

To the north of Sydney at a distance of just under 30km sits the suburb of Elanora Heights which is part of the Northern Beaches region. The suburb has some of the biggest houses in Pittwater and is also a popular spot for tourists.

Demographics

Although it is one of the smaller suburbs in Sydney, Elanora Heights saw its population approaching 3,900 in 2011. The vast majority of people are locally born with the rest coming mainly from the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe. The bulk of people work in the professional fields on a full time basis.

Transport

With no railway stations located within or close to the suburb, the primary mode of transport for residents is either by car or bus. Bus stations are located along Kalang Road, Elanora Road and Powder Works Road and provides regular services within and around the suburb and beyond. To the south is Wakehurst Parkway joining with Pittwater Road, the main road leading into Warringah Freeway and extending to the city.

Commercial area

A few businesses can be found within the suburb, with the main centre of commerce for the suburb located along Kalang Road, Powder Works Road and St Andrews Gate. A variety of businesses, including an IGA supermarket, offers a range of amenities for the local community.

Housing

Most housing in Elanora Heights are relatively new with few olden style properties. A mixture of houses and apartments can be found in the suburb with prices ranging from $500,000 to over 1.5 million dollars. The average prices for properties in the area is 1.2 million.
